We are preparing for our fall concert which will be on October 12th! We look forward to seeing everyone there at our fall show - "A Night On Broadway"!!!

We are still preparing for our fall concert which will be on October 12th! We look forward to seeing everyone there at our fall show - "A Night On Broadway"!!!

We would also like to wish all 28 of our choir students, who will be auditioning this Saturday at Clear Springs for the first round of the TMEA All-State process!

9/25 - 9/29

We are getting ready for our fall concert which will be on October 12th! We look forward to seeing everyone there at our fall show - "A Night On Broadway"!!!

Also, this past weekend we attended the TMEA All-District auditions at Clear Springs High School and Santa Fe High School will have 5 students advancing to the All-Region auditions in October at Clear Creek High School. Please help me congratulate these students when you see them: Leila Butler, Ash Kidd, Verity Latham, Haley Pyle, and Skyler Skillman!! Best of luck at your next audition!!

10/10 - 10/13

THIS WEEK is our fall concert which will be on Thursday, October 12th @ 7:00 pm in the High School auditorium!! We look forward to seeing everyone there at our fall show - "A Night On Broadway"!!!

Those students who are auditioning for All-Region/Region Concert Choir don't forget October 21st is our competition. Those of you wishing to practice over Fall Break can contact Mr. Tietge about more details!!

10/23 - 10/27

Welcome back everyone from Fall Break! We hope everyone got lots of much needed rest and are ready to start back up!! We will begin looking at our music for the next concert. Our next concert will be our Christmas Cluster Concert, which will include all choirs from RJ Wollum, Kubacak, SFJH, and SFHS. It will also inlcude a few skits from the SFHS Theatre Department.

This past weekend the SFHS Choir had 9 students that will be a part of the Region 17 All-Region Choir Concert on November 11th at Santa Fe High School auditorium. One student, Haley Pyle, will also be advancing on to compete at the Pre-Area round of auditions that will be held at Shadow Creek HS on December 2nd.

Help us congratulate the following 9 students who will be in the All-Region Concert: Haley Pyle, Leila Butler, Verity Latham, Skyler Skillman, Ash Kidd, Nicholas Robertson, Oldrich Firasek, Laura Rogers, and Devin Maier.

10/30 - 11/3

We will continue looking at our music for the next concert. Our next concert will be our Christmas Cluster Concert, which will include all choirs from RJ Wollum, Kubacak, SFJH, and SFHS. It will also inlcude a few skits from the SFHS Theatre Department.

The Christmas Cluster Concert will be on December 7th at 7:00pm at the Santa Fe High School Auditorium. On Thursday of this past week a calendar was sent home to all students, if your child did not get one or was absent please be sure to have them get one this week!

11/6 - 11/10

Also, this week some of the HS students will be going to the Renaissance Festival on Wednesday. The 9 students who will be performing in the All-Region Concert on November 11th, will participate in the All-Region Clinic on Thursday. Friday is the Veteran's Day program and students from both the HS & JH will be singing the national anthem during the program.

NEXT WEEK IS MUSICAL AUDITIONS!!! ANYONE INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING SHOULD PREPARE THE SONG "TOMORROW" TO SING AS PART OF THEIR AUDITION!!!

11/13 - 11/17

This week students will begin to look at music for an upcoming concert as well as look at solo's for an upcoming competition in the Spring semester!

This past Saturday 9 students from SFHS performed in the TMEA Region 17 - All-Region Choir Concert that was hosted by us at the high school. At least one student was in each of the 3 choirs that performed and all of them sounded amazing! The auditorium was packed and there was standing room only! Congratulations to those 9 students and best of luck to Haley Pyle as she continues to prepare for Pre-Area on December 2nd.

THIS WEEK IS MUSICAL AUDITIONS!!! ANYONE INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING SHOULD PREPARE THE SONG "TOMORROW" TO SING AS PART OF THEIR AUDITION!!! MONDAY OR TUESDAY FROM 3-5 PM FOR HS & JH!!

11/27 - 12/1

This week students will receive their music for their solo & ensemble competition that will be in February!! Our goal this year is to have 100% participation from every single class!!! Please students make sure that you are not only practicing and memorizing your music (we will try to practice some during class) but that you are also taking care of your academics!! Students must be passing all of their classes and be eligible in order to participate in UIL Solo & Ensemble competition.

Next week is our Christmas Cluster Concert that will be on December 7th @ 7:00pm. Students should wear nice formal wear for this concert. NO JEANS & NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE ALLOWED!!

12/4 - 12/8

This past weekend, Haley Pyle competed in the TMEA Pre-Area competition in Alvin at Shadow Creek HS. Out of the top 15 Soprano 2's in our Region she was ranked 8th, however, will not advance to Area. This is still a very HUGE accomplishment to make it this far and we are still very proud of her! Please help us congratulate her for making it this far in the competition!!!

12/11 - 12/15

This past week the Santa Fe High School Auditorium hosted our 2nd annual Christmas Cluster Concert, which featured the RJ Wollam Choir, Kubacak Choir, SFJH Choir, SFHS Choir, and even a few skits from the SFHS Theatre department. This wonderful event was a huge success and over 1000+ friends and family members were in attendance to watch. We are so glad to continue this tradition and cannot wait until next year to make it even bigger and better!!

These next few days students will continue practicing their solo & ensemble music as well as begin looking at music for our UIL Concert & Sight-Reading competition that will happening in the Spring semester. Please be sure to continue practicing to help us be as successful as we can!!

1/8 - 1/12

WELCOME BACK!! We hope everyone had a wonderful break and a great start to a New Year! We are so excited to be back and we have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. Calendars will be passed out during class so that everyone is up to date on all of our activities.

Remember students to continue practicing your music for solo & ensmeble! All songs should be on my website now. Along with Solo & Ensemble music students can now start to practice their songs for UIL Concert and Sight-Reading! Practice! Practice!! Practice!!!!

1/22 - 1/26

We hope that everyone stayed warm during our snow/ice days and had a nice long weekend to enjoy it! Over the next few weeks students will continue to prepare for UIL activities. The JH just wrapped a very successful UIL competition this past weekend with solo & ensemble and results will be announced during class tomorrow. Now the JH students will begin to prepare for UIL Concert & Sight-Reading on March 1st & 2nd. The HS has less than a month away before it is time for their Solo & Ensemble competition, so be sure to continue practicing!!!

We would also like to announce that our annual production of the all-district musical will be presented on February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 6:30pm and on February 3rd at 1:30pm for a matinee as well. Tickets will be $10 for adults, and $5 for students. This years production is "ANNIE: THE MUSICAL" and features students from every school in Santa Fe as well as a pre-show concert featuring choir students from Kubacak and RJ elementary. Please join us as by supporting the arts as we continue our tradition of our seventh annual all-district musical.

2/5 - 2/9

This past weekend many of our choir students from 6th grade to 12th grade particpated in the SFISD All-District Musical - "ANNIE". It was a huge success and all of the students did an amazing job on all of their scenes, please help us congratulate them on all of their work from this weekend and from the past few months of rehearsals.

Over the next few days students will begin preparing for UIL Concert & Sight-Reading as well as UIL Solo & Ensemble! Sutdents please be sure to continue practicing your songs so that we can all be successful!!
