TUTORIAL DAYS: Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 - 4:00

Mr. Gunnar Tietge earned his Master’s in Music Education from Tarleton State University. He holds another Master in Education Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor in Vocal Music Education from Wayland Baptist University. Between the years 2011 - 2016, he lived in Irving, Texas where he served as Music Teacher at Farine Elementary in Irving ISD. He was the assistant conductor for the Irving Children’s Chorus for two years.

Mr. Tietge conducted at the Texas Choral Directors Association in July of 2011. He is currently a member of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) as well as Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA). This is his third year at Santa Fe, and he is very excited for the upcoming school year and for the future of choral education in Santa Fe ISD.

Hello, everyone! I miss you and hope you and your families are doing well. Feel free to send me a message when you get a chance to say hi and let me know how you’re doing!

As you all know, we are going to be doing all work online at this point! Just remember time management is key! Make a daily/weekly schedule with all of your assignments and take it one step at a time. All of your teachers are here for you, so don’t hesitate to contact us.

EXPECTATIONS

My expectations for our class are for you to: complete all lessons/assignments each week, join our class on the BAND app and participate/respond to each other and the teacher, and have fun with the assignments!!

ASSIGNMENTS

Each week you will have a 3 assignments for you to complete and submit to me for a grade. All assignments can be found under the Assignments tab in Canvas and submitted on Canvas. Your grades each week will come from:

Assignments throughout each week
- There will different assignments each week.

Daily participation and logging on to Canvas
- All assignments must be posted in Canvas in order to count for a grade

OFFICE HOURS and TUTORIAL TIMES

I am available for tutorials/help with dance assignments daily, Tuesday-Friday, as needed. You may either email me at gunnar.tietge@sfisd.org or send me a message on the BAND app (easiest and quickest way to get in touch).

Mondays - No online tutorials, however you can still reach me. On Mondays, you should be looking over your weekly assignments for all of your classes and coming up with how to organize/complete your course work for the week.

Hello all!! Welcome to Choir and Intro to Theater Virtual Learning. Canvas will be where all assignments and information for my classes will be posted. More information to come!!

9/10 - 9/14

Welcome Back!! We are already in our 3rd week of school and students have been working very hard this school year to prepare for our upcoming fall concert. October 3rd we will have our first concert of the year titled "Stars & Storms". On September 21st students who are auditioning for the All-District process will be travelling to Angleton HS to compete against other schools. For more information about either of these please see Mr. Tietge.
