My name is Laura Redlinger. I grew up in Pearland, Texas and attended Pearland High School. I was introduced to the wonderful world of agriculture in my principles of Ag class my freshman year and have been hooked ever since. As an FFA member, I raised a market steer and spent two years competing on the veterinary science CDE team. While short lived, my time as an FFA member was only the beginning of my agricultural experience.

  After high school, I went on to become a Bearkat at the one and only Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in secondary education to become an Ag teacher! I also spent all four years on the Beef Cattle Show Team where I spent countless hours at the barn and in the show ring with my best friends. As a team we worked closely with a local cattle company to put on cattle showmanship clinics for local youth and with the agricultural department at Sam Houston to help put on the Rodeo Austin Heifer show in 2021. 

My experiences have helped me grow into who I am today, and I could not be more thankful for every one and every thing that lead me to Santa Fe High School! This year, I hope to show my students the variety of learning and growth opportunities agriculture and the FFA have to offer!
