I am available for tutorials everyday after school until at least 3:05.  It will be helpful to me if a student who wants tutoring notifies me during class that he/she will be coming by so I can confirm that I will be available.

My policy on tutoring is that it is meant for students who have done their work in class but are still having trouble with the lesson material.  If a student is failing because he/she has not done class assignments or has not paid attention (especially because of cell phone use), I will not tutor that student unless I speak directly with the student's parents to explain the reasons tutoring is necessary and the consequences of continuing to not do class assignments, misbehaving, etc.

Santa Fe has clear grading guidelines on how students may make up missed assignments.  I follow these guidelines.  Students and parents should know that it is not realistic to expect to be able to make up in the last few days of a grading period, a large number of assignments going all the way back to the beginning of the grading period.  It is highly unlikely a student can master the relevant objectives for multiple lessons in the span of a few days or hours.
