English IV

Week of Sept. 14-Sept. 18, 2020

Monday, Sept. 14- Work day for Beowulf storyboard project. Also if you have not done so, please complete the writing assignment "Wiglaf's Story" in Canvas and turn in. You will need to write in the first person point of view as if you were Wiglaf retelling the story of Beowulf's final battle. Write at least 10 sentences with five specific details from the text. 

Create a 6 panel  Beowulf storyboard to review the poem. (see assignment in Canvas-assigned and explained on Friday, Sept. 11.) Students may choose to do a storyboard by hand on paper and take pictures of each of the six panels to upload to canvas or they may do a digital storyboard using the free site storyboardthat.com. (See step by step directions I posted in Canvas.)

Tuesday, Sept. 15- -Students will take the unit test on Beowulf in Canvas. 

Wednesday, Sept. 16-Students will view a Power Point over Chaucer and the background to The Canterbury Tales and complete an assignment in Canvas based on the Power Point.

Friday, Sept. 18-
