"Welcome to Hertenberger first grade classroom."

We have lots of fun and exciting things coming up this year and I can't wait to share the love of learning with your children.  I would like to share a little about myself with you as we begin our journey into this awesome year.  I graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1991, later I graduated from University of Clear Lake in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have taught second grade for twenty two years and I am married to Clay Hertenberger who is a member of the SFISD School Board. Clay and I have been married for 31 years.  We have amazing three sons who are all graduates from Texas A&M University. My oldest son Cole is 27 years old and has his Master's Degree in the Maritime Industry, and a great job in San Antonio, Tx working for Marathon. Herecently married the love of his life this past June 27 and her name is Kaitlyn. My middle son Bryce is 26 years old and was accepted into May's Business School, graduated with a Master's degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, College Station.  He is now working in downtown Houston for Frost Bank and loving life.    My youngest is 23 years old and a graduate from Texas A&M University, May 2025 with a Bachelor's of Science degree. He is now looking for a job in the film and movie industry.  He is also a lover of animals especially lions an is currently looking for an amazing job in that field as well.
