Hello and welcome to 7th grade Texas History.     

My name is Mr. Gummelt and I will be your teacher for Texas History this year.  I look forward to meeting everyone that will be in my classes for the 2021-2022 school year.

Please come to class ready to learn, pay attention to the class lessons and discussions, and participate in lesson discussions.  Everyone can do well in the Texas History class by completing assignments in a timely manner, studying for quizzes, and asking questions if you are unsure about lessons and/or assignments.  

My favorite sport is soccer.  I enjoy coaching the SFJH Boy's soccer team and watching soccer matches from around the world.

Absence Policy: It is the student’s responsibility to check the class website or class modules in Canvas.  A student has one extra day to turn in any work assigned on the day a student was absent. If a quiz was administered on the day the student was absent, the quiz must be made up on the first day the student returns. This will be done during tutorials. Class time will not be used for make-up work. If previously assigned work was due on the day of the absence, the work is due on the first day the student returns.
