My name is Jeff DeWillis and I am entering my 28th year as an educator. The 2026–2027 school year marks my seventh year at Santa Fe Junior High School, where I will be teaching eighth grade social studies and coaching football, basketball, and soccer. I spent my first 20 years teaching and coaching at C.E. King Middle School with Sheldon ISD. After five years at Santa Fe, I took a one-year opportunity to teach at Arcadia First Baptist Christian School before returning to SFJH last year.

I grew up in Pearland, TX and graduated from Pearland High School. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Downtown. Prior to teaching, I played professional baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays for five years and was fortunate enough to collect 83 days of major league service in 1987.

I live in Galveston with my wife, Lori, and our eleven-year-old daughter, Raelyn. My mission as an educator is to help young minds enhance their success both in and out of the classroom and encourage the value and power of lifelong learning.

Using an ePortfolio

Introduction
ePortfolios are a place to demonstrate your work. They are made of sections and pages. The list of sections are along the left side of the window (show me). Each section can have multiple pages, shown on the right side of the window (show me).
Portfolio Sections

Sections are listed along the left side of the window (show me). Each section can have multiple pages inside of it. To organize or edit a section, click the .

You can rename any section by clicking "Rename", rearrange sections by clicking "Move To...", or delete sections by clicking "Delete" in the popup menu.
Section Pages

Sections have multiple pages. You can see the list of pages for the current section on the right side of the window (show me). To organize or edit a page, click the .

Page Content
The content you see on a page is the same content any visitors will see. To edit this content, click the " Edit This Page" link (show me) and the page will change to editing mode.

Now you're editing! Rename the page or change commenting options (show me) if you like. You can save, preview or cancel your changes at any time by clicking the button on the right side (show me).

Content is divided into subsections, which each have a dotted border. You can delete or edit the contents of a subsection by clicking the or icons at the top right corner of the subsection.

To add new subsections, find and click the type of content you want to add in the options list on the right side of the page (show me).
ePortfolio Settings
To change the settings for your ePortfolio, click the "ePortfolio Settings" link (show me). You can rename the portfolio and also change whether it is public or private. Private portfolios are only visible to those to whom you grant access.
