 In order to create a productive environment for learning, both stability and professionalism will be the key factors in all classroom management decisions.  I aim to prove that all students can learn when provided the right environment and facilitation.

    As an educator, it will be my goal to provide learning opportunities that best suit my learners. With this in mind, I feel that the ability to connect with and read students, anticipate the needs of students, and provide the flexibility to adapt to those conclusions are the necessary tools to successful educating.

    The skill to communicate effectively determines the quality of education I can provide. Clear communication with students, parents, administration, and the community are necessary features when facilitating the upward movement of my classroom. The unity that results from clear communication will create a relatedness within that community I aim to be a part of. While having a thorough understanding of the content is significant, communicating that knowledge at the learners’ level is imperative. Adapting methods and differentiating, to each unique classroom, are both parts of communicating effectively.

     As I mentioned earlier, it is my opinion that adapting is a necessary tool for successful teaching. While I feel that adaptability is crucial, proactive planning and organization are the building blocks for those adaptions. Part of that planning will involve a commitment to grow as an educator. Integrating up-to-date research-tested pedagogies and applicable technology will keep my methods relevant to learners.

    Working with students within the UHCL education program and Santa Fe ISD has afforded me the opportunity to connect with students that trust in my passion for literature and love for teaching. With the knowledge gained through these experiences, as well as an open mind for growth, my goal is to create an ever-changing learning environment that provides students with safe, fun, and authentic learning experiences.
