Bluebonnet

Read 5 and then Decide

The Bluebonnet Reading program encourages 3rd-6th graders to read books from different genres. Each year, the Texas Bluebonnet Selection committee chooses 20 books for the master list, and students vote for the winner in January. To be eligible to vote, students need to read at least 5 books.

Remember, the books are selected for a broad age range, so students should consider their reading abilities and interests when deciding on a book to read. This year’s list includes novels, picture books, graphic novels, nonfiction, and poetry.

Due to the limited number of books on campus, students may check out only one Bluebonnet book at a time. Forms to keep track of reading are available in the library. Students need to record at least 5 books and return their forms to the library before voting on January 25, 2021.
