Hello, my name is Shelby Franks and I am thrilled to be your child’s second grade teacher. I graduated from UHCL in December where I acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a supplemental in ESL. This will be my third year working for Santa Fe ISD, all of which has primarily taken place at R J Wollam Elementary. I began my teaching career as a substitute for the district centralized in first grade. From there I completed a yearlong internship in second grade and this past fall was hired on as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. I am beyond excited to return to second grade where I will be teaching Reading Language Arts. I am passionate about expanding your child’s literary knowledge, helping them to develop a love for reading and growing their imaginations to achieve beyond our expectations. I cannot wait to have your child join “Franks’ Flamingos” where we will have a “flamazing” year. Welcome to the flock!
