Hello!
My name is Emily (Tyra) Moses. This is my second year at Santa Fe High School, and I am excited to see what the year brings. I will be over the Animal Science pathway teaching: Small Animal Management, Equine Science, Livestock Production, Advanced Animal Science, and Veterinary Medicine Applications.
I am from Pearland, Texas and attended Pearland High School. I was involved in FFA raising livestock projects and competing in both LDE and CDE teams. These experiences in my High School career sparked my passion for Agriculture and laid a foundation for the person I am today.
After High School I expanded my Agricultural pursuits at the best kept secret in Texas, Tarleton State University! At Tarleton I studied and received a B.S in Agricultural Services and Development with a minor in Agricultural Communications.
Tarleton built on my passion for Agriculture and kids. Being a Phi Mu Member and serving Stephenville's local Foster Home and Cooks Children Miracle Network Hospitals allowed for me to serve the community and kids. Being in the Ag department, I was able to also serve FFA members by volunteering to put on contests for them hosted by the university.
I hope to serve the students in my classes by expanding their minds in Agriculture and creating a fun learning environment. I will also be serving as an Agriculture Advisor.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and my dogs. We spend a lot of time outside. We 3 dogs. Piper is an Australian Shephard/Lab mix, Paige is a Chocolate Lab, and Tate is a Fox Red Lab. The labs keep us on our toes! One of my hobbies is baking. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and comes with endless food and dessert!
