Hello everyone! This will be my 18th year teaching science and the beginning of my 15th year at Santa Fe Junior High. I currently teach 7th and 8th graders. I grew up in South Texas in a town called Harlingen. I graduated from UT Brownsville with a bachelor's in Biology. The reason why I became a teacher is because I have always enjoyed learning and teaching others. I love science and being able to do hands-on activities. My goal is to help students understand science and enjoy coming to school every day.
Topics we are learning:
1st 9 Weeks: Matter & Energy, Force & Motion
2nd 9 Weeks: Waves and the EM Spectrum, Components of the Universe, Plate Tectonics, Seasons, Tides,
3rd 9 Weeks: Organisms and the Environment, Weather & Climate
4th 9 Weeks: STAAR Testing, Intro to Biology
How will we communicate with each other?
