Hello and welcome to 7th Grade!
My name is Mrs. White and I will be your teacher for math this year! This will be my 2nd year teaching here at the Junior High and I am super excited to see you all!
I wanted to share a little about me but you will get to know more about me on our first day back. Last year was my first year teaching and it was during a pandemic! I am super excited to teach a normal school year this year! I am a recent graduate at the University of Houston-Clear Lake class of 2020, GO Hawks! I received my Bachelor's in Mathematics with the 4-8 teaching certification. My family consists of my husband Tyler, my step son Ayden, our maincoon Calvin and the newest addition to the family my babygirl Maisy.

Re-Testing On Level: All students in on level class will be permitted to retake any major test that he or she fails-within a two week window of time. The student will be able to earn up to a 70 on the test, and the higher of the two grade will be recorded.
Re-Testing Advanced: Students in Advanced classes will be permitted to retake one major test that he or she fails-within a two week window of time per nine weeks. The student will be able to earn up to a 70 on the test, and the higher of the two grade will be recorded.
Late work:
students will receive deductions for late work:
1 day late: 10 point deduction
2 days late: 15 point deduction
3 days late: 20 point deduction
4 days late: 25 point deduction
5 days late 30 point deduction
Homework:
Will be given at the beginning of the week, and it will be due on Friday. This could include any work that was not completed in class.
Missed work:
Missing work can be located in Canvas, or if a paper copy is given, in the Missing work file tote on the book shelf in the room.
Incentives:
Students will be able to earn a sticker, or a small piece of candy if they are preforming well in class, and/or if they have great behavior in class.

Rules:
1. I will be in my assigned seat or area, ready to work when class begins.
2. I will have paper, pencils, books, and all needed supplies every day.
3. I will keep hands, feet, books, and objects to myself'
4. I will only use language that is appropriate in class; I will not use profanity, rude gestures, bullying, teasing, or put downs.
5. I will follow directions of all school personnel.
