Hi,

I hope all is well with everyone. I know this last week was a bit confusing and chaotic, but we made it through and we now understand how the class will go from here on out. I'd like to thank everyone who had their assignments turned in by Friday. I'd like to keep the momentum going, and have even more students turn in BOTH assignments for this week. I've done my best to clean up the canvas page, and make it more user friendly... and not so confusing. Please, if you ever find yourself lost on the page, simply email me. You all know I'm easy to work with, as long as I know you're trying your best to work with me.

This week you will find two new assignment, one new PowerPoint, and finally a video to tie it all together. The assignments are due on Friday, April 3rd, 2020. It honestly helps, and is in your best interest to watch the short video and read over the PowerPoint before you attempt the assignments . As some of you have figured out I'm happy with answering your questions via Remind, or by email. Please keep an open line of communication with me if you find yourself struggling. Below is my Remind info if you haven't already signed up.

Again, I know we can get through these next weeks if we just work together. I hope everyone finds some time to hang out and enjoy their family. I know that times like these can weigh heavily on people, but try not to focus on the bad, but rather on the good. Its been awesome to see how full the parks are with families spending time together. With all that being said, don't forget to do your work for school this week. I can't wait to see you all back in class!

-Coach Graschel

Hi...

My name is Mr. Graschel but you can call me Coach G for short, or even just Coach will work. I have been teaching here at SFHS for 9 years now. My main area of expertise is Physics, but I've also taught and feel comfortable with Food Science, and I.P.C. (Integrated Physics & Chemistry). I grew up here in Santa Fe and graduated from this very campus back in 2004. After graduation I went on to attend Sam Houston State University, where I earned my Bachelors Degree of Science, majoring in the field of Kinesiology,  and minoring in Education. I even went on to participate in their Education Preparation Program, where I served as an en-turn for a full year (NO PAY) all while still attending required courses on the main campus. Since beginning my teaching career I have also enjoyed being involved with  high school sports. Growing up I played all sorts of sports from baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, football, even track & field. You name it, I've probably played it. Now I have the honor of coaching them. I've previously been a freshman football coach for 2 years, and a head soccer coach for 7 years. I'm currently the head boy's and girls cross country coach, head boy's soccer coach, and this year will be my second year to act as our schools assistant track and field coach. All in all it has been quite a ride to get to where I am today, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I look forward to a wonderful school year of getting to know each of my students, and helping build better minds.
