Welcome to 6th Grade Math!  This will be my 13th year teaching in Santa Fe, and I am looking forward to another great year! I can't imagine teaching any other subject as I truly enjoy helping students become successful mathematicians and problem solvers. My webpage is updated weekly with topics and events for the week, so please check back often.

Important Things to Know

Homework assignments will be posted/announced each week on Friday along with the due dates for the following week, although there may be times that an assignment started in class may need to be finished the same night. Homework may consist of practice problems or short learning videos for the students to watch and take notes over.

Please note that work must be shown on all assignments to receive credit.  Math assignments should be completed in pencil only.    Please click the side tab for a copy of the grading rubric to be used for math homework.

Tutorials are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 - 3:45. This is an opportunity for students who may need help on a particular topic or who may need instruction after having been absent.  It is also a time for making up missed tests/assignments due to absence.  Tutorials are for working on a specific, purposeful task.

The list of topics we will be studying can be downloaded from the links below.  Please note that the TEK numbers that start with a 7 (for example 7.2A) are for the Pre-AP math classes only.  Our Pre-AP math students complete all of the 6th grade curriculum along with approximately half of the 7th grade curriculum.
