Hi there! I'm so excited for this school year with you all. My name is Makayla Lopez and this will be my third year teaching here. I am an SF alumni, and graduated from UHCL with my Bachelor's in Human Science.
Prior to being at SFJH, I worked at SFHS for two years in Special Education Services. I am so excited to be your teacher and am looking forward to being with each and every one of you this year!

Grading: There will be 2+ daily work grades each week, and 3 test grades in each 9 week grading period. Grading will adhere to the SFJH grading policy. Links to an external site.
Make Up Work:
Students are responsible for discussing with their teacher any assignments missed due to their absence upon their return to class.
Make up work will be completed outside of class time or at the teacher’s discretion.
The number of days allowed for make-up work to be completed will be equal to the number of days a class was missed.
If extra time is needed, the student should discuss the matter with Ms. Lopez.
Make up work often requires the student to attend tutorials to receive detailed instructions or assistance.
Tutorials are every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:20pm-3:45pm. If alternate times are needed, please discuss with Ms. Lopez in advance.
