Welcome to Mrs. Hussey's

7th Grade Advanced Science Class!!!

Hello! My name is Dandi Hussey and this is my first year teaching science at Santa Fe Junior High! Here is a little bit of info about me:

Santa Fe is my hometown and I graduated in 2002 from Santa Fe High School, ranking fourth in my class. I was cheer captain alongside Coach Lindsey Plite throughout my years at SF Junior High and High School! In 2007, I received my BFA in Fashion Design at UNT and spent 7 years developing athletic apparel for Academy Sports and Outdoors. In 2014 my husband and I went into ministry and attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned an advanced certificate in ministry studies. Since then, I have served as Director of Women's and Children's Ministries in various churches and have been teaching children and youth for over ten years.

Currently, I am the Head Coach for YSA Santa Fe Spirit, a non-profit recreational cheer program for elementary age students here in Santa Fe. My husband is Pastor Chad Hussey at The Way Worship Movement and we have three awesome kids, Sky, Dylan and Seven.

The thing I am most excited about this year is to be returning to my hometown after living away from Santa Fe for 20 years and having the opportunity to teach and impact the lives of the young people in our community!

Course Materials

Students are expected to bring the following items to class everyday:

• Writing utensil
• Interactive Notebook (designated composition notebook)
• Fully charged laptop

Classroom Expectations

3. Respect the Classroom (Space, Learning Environment and Safety Rules)

Tutorials

Science tutorials will be held every Thursday in the classroom from 3:10-3:40.

I am so excited to learn and grow together during the 2022-23 academic school year!!!
